Description Induction Loops are of great use to all people who use hearing aids. Hearing aids amplify all noise and so a user will hear a ticking clock, outside traffic or a noisy fridge motor at the same volume as they will hear a one to one conversation with your staff. An induction loop cuts out all of this back ground noise when the user switches to the T position. When a hearing aid user sees an induction loop sign it requests that they switch their hearing aid to the T position. Upon the user doing this they will only hear sound picked up from the induction loop system. An induction loop creates an audio field which the hearing aid Telecoil (T) picks up and converts back in to crystal clear audible sound for the wearer. Your staff can clearly communicate to a hearing aid user via a discreetly positioned microphone at the point of sale area (or other convenient position). The provision of a counter induction loop is a clear example of removing a barrier to access and is a legal requirement. The induction loop system is very simple to use, you simply leave it switched on all the time. Never switch it off or fiddle with any of the settings. (It will reset itself when switched back on but loop adjustment maybe affected). The system will be tuned to work at the best possible setting by the installer. To communicate with a hearing aid user simply speak in a normal manner in the direction of the appropriately placed microphone. g For further information, please send your inquiries to: eazykey@emeatrade.com |
